Founded in the early 1900s, the community of Pahokee was named for the Seminole word meaning “grassy waters” due to its location on Lake Okeechobee’s shore, the “other coast” of Palm Beach County.
Locals call Pahokee “The Muck,” a moniker for the area’s mineral-rich dark soil ideal for growing citrus fruits, sugar cane, and corn. Much like the agriculture, several pests also thrive in the muck, but since 1951, Nozzle Nolen has provided trusted pest control services for this region. Our West Palm Beach branch is happy to offer reliable pest control solutions to Pahokee residents.
